Rotel Releases Updated MKII Range of Integrated Amplifiers
Building on the legacy of Rotel's 60 years, the iconic brand has released three new MKII versions of the A14, RA-1572 and RA-1592 integrated amplifiers.
Rotel says these classic models have “extensive acoustic circuit upgrades and have been reengineered to an even higher level of performance leveraging technologies developed for the Michi Series.”
Of note are a reported 98 signal path component changes and circuit design enhancements that Rotel says offers “more details in the rendered audio with a larger sound stage and improved spatial positioning.”
All three models also support MQA and MQA Studio unfolding and rendering, thanks to a new Texas Instruments 32-bit/384kHz Digital to Analog Converter (DAC). The PC-USB connection supports MQA up to 24-bit/384kHz audio and PCM audio playback up to 32-bit/384kHz.
Importantly, all three models are also Roon Tested and fully compliant with the now established benchmark in music and library management platform.
The A14MKII offers 150watts per channel (4 ohms) and 80watts (8 ohms) of power. The flagship integrated amplifier model in Rotel's 14 Series supports all popular source inputs, including aptX and AAC Bluetooth for wireless streaming, PC-USB up to 32-bit/384kHz, MQA decoding and rendering, analog, digital and a Moving Magnet Phono Stage.
Rotel's 15 Series flagship, the RA-1592MKII, delivers 200 Watts of Class AB output power into 8 ohms. Engineered from Rotel's award-winning RA-1572 integrated amplifier with critical circuits and component upgrades, the upgraded version features over 33 component changes in acoustic capacitors, filter capacitors, and the power supply render audio with a wider, deeper soundstage and improved accuracy and positioning.
Inputs include Moving Magnet Phono Stage, XLR Balanced, Coax, Optical, RCA, front iPod USB and aptXTM and AAC Wireless Streaming Bluetooth.
Offering 350 watts per channel into 4-ohms, and 200 watts continuous (8-ohms), the RA-1592MKII is replete with source inputs including aptXTM and AAC high-quality wireless Bluetooth streaming, MQA decoding and rendering via PC-USB, PCM PC-USB audio up to 32-bit/384kHz, Moving Magnet Phono Stage, Analog, Digital, XLR Balanced and front-panel USB for iOS devices.
All models feature Ethernet and RS232 connections for control system integration, IR remote, front panel status display, intelligent power control, Audio-Direct Tone Bypass mode and dual A-B 5-way speaker binding posts. The MKII models are also available in both Silver and Black colours.
Australian pricing has not yet been confirmed, however all models will be available from late May 2021.
