KIWI AUDIO LUMINARIES SET TO ROCK THE ROCKIES
Kiwi companies Pureaudio and Design Build Listen are combining with US Distributor Old Forge Distribution to exhibit at the annual Rocky Mountain Audio Fest this coming weekend in Denver, Colorado. (Tower, Room 9004)
Dave Cope of Old Forge Distribution is an inveterate US Show exhibitor and has a reputation for delivering superb sound in his showrooms. He believes this weekend will be exceptional, and to prove it he is showing his dedication by taking a 2700km road trip across the USA with all of the gear.
The front end is Design Build Listen’s new Wand 14-4 turntable; this will be fitted with the 10.3-inch Wand Plus tonearm and the well-regarded EMT JSD Lime cartridge, which in turn will feed the equally new Pureaudio LV-1 Phono stage.
Providing quality watts will be Pureaudio’s One integrated amplifier, and we know that this will sound sensational when driving the exotic full range Rethm Maarga speaker (India/USA).
Both myself and fellow StereoNET writer Steve Smith can attest to the sound quality and build of both Pureaudio and Design Build Listen’s products: I have the excellent The Wand Classic arm mounted on my battleship Lenco turntable, while Steve is a proud owner of Pureaudio pre and power amplification – with the LV-1 phono stage on the way.
Both Pureaudio and Design Build Listen are flying the flag for us Kiwi audiophiles at RMAF. Should you be making the trip to the good old US of A, we at StereoNET reckon you’ll be in for a sonic treat!
Addicted to music from a very early age, Gary built his first pair of loudspeakers at the tender age of 12. Since then he has contributed to a plethora of publications/websites and has even been heard on Newstalk 1ZB as the stations ‘gadget man’. Technically proficient in both analogue and digital, he feels the road ahead is just as exciting as the road already traveled - and he can't wait to tell you about it.
