Two Flies
Some time ago I'd seen a doco on these guys and sorta forgot about them. But recently heard them being played on tripple j its reignited my interest in the band so its looking like a trip to the record shop for me on pay day . As Molly would say do yourselves a favour and check these guys out, Its not the greatest live recording that you'll ever hear but it is great toe tappin beer drinkin music. I just love the raw gutsy rhythm's, the harmonica is just something else the icing on the cake for me is the boogie grand piano drivin the song along . . You can check out the bands biography here http://www.bighassle.com/kittydaisylewis/index.htm Cheers Paul.
THOMO
Paul, Yes I agree. I think I posted about these guys a while back. There is a raw honesty about their music and it pays great hommage to the purity and energy of the Sun Records recordings of the 1950s. Infectious stuff.
